Most graduates want results immediately.
I understand that.
But this is where people fail.
They work hard for 2 weeks…
Then panic because nothing has happened.
Then they stop.
Then start again.
Then stop again.
That cycle kills momentum.
Here is what I normally tell graduates:
On average, expect 3–4 months of consistent effort.
Not 3 days.
Not 3 weeks.
Months.
And consistency matters.
You cannot do everything on Monday…
…and then do nothing for the rest of the week.
It doesn’t work like that.
You need consistency every week.
Emails.
Phone calls.
Follow ups.
Conversations.
Meetings.
Over time something interesting happens.
Week 1:
10 calls → 2 good conversations.
Week 2:
10 calls → 3 good conversations.
Week 3:
10 calls → 5 good conversations.
Its never Linear its up and down but it trends Upwards over time..
Without realising it…
You’re becoming better.
Better communication.
Better confidence.
Better understanding of the market.
Then eventually:
Coffee meetings turn into project discussions.
Project discussions turn into opportunities.
Opportunities turn into employment.
Success is rarely sudden.
It’s usually the result of repeated effort over time.
