Some more good news from The Graduate Coach™ community.
This week, another two people secured employment:
✅ An Electronics Engineer who will be working in the mining sector and starting later this month
✅ A Project Support Officer who has secured a position within the healthcare sector in Western Australia.
The healthcare outcome is particularly pleasing.
Many organisations operating in healthcare and community services are not-for-profits. They often rely on government funding, grants and private investment, which means budgets can be tight and employment opportunities limited.
When a position becomes available, the competition can be considerable.
It has been a long journey for this young woman, but she remained patient, continued working towards her goal and has now been given her opportunity.
I couldn’t be happier for her.
We may also have further outcomes approaching in:
• Architecture / Contract Administration
Nothing is confirmed until the paperwork is signed, but the momentum is certainly building.
These outcomes also demonstrate that opportunities are not restricted to one discipline or sector.
Electronics (Mining sector)
Healthcare sector.
Different industries and different job titles but the underlying process remains the same:
Develop your knowledge.
Improve your communication.
Contact the right people.
Follow up professionally.
Remain in the game long enough for the opportunity to arrive.
The market remains competitive, but people are still finding work.
Keep moving forward.
Knowledge builds confidence.
Confidence starts conversations.
Conversations create opportunities.
Opportunities build careers.
