CHIPPING AWAY AT THE BIG PICTURE
Some great progress this week from graduates across a range of disciplines.
Here’s a quick summary of what’s happening behind the scenes
1. Civil Engineering Graduate – Secured his first interview this week after being in the program for about 2 months. A great milestone and a sign his approach is now aligned with market expectations.
2. Electrical Engineer – Coming up to 3 months in the program. He had an interview this week and believes it went well. He’ll likely receive a decision next week. A big step forward after months of preparation and networking.
3. DevOps/Application Engineer (International Graduate) – Two months ago, she knew almost no one in the industry. Today, she’s working remotely, has made strong connections, understands where the opportunities are, and more importantly, knows what’s been holding her back and what to fix. She’s now positioned for success.
4. Civil Draftspersons (Regional & Metro) – Several graduates have now identified a niche they can fit into and are engaging with companies directly.
With a more refined approach and targeted outreach, I expect results to come in over the next few weeks.
In total, we’ve got around 20 graduates across all disciplines actively building momentum through networking, not just relying on job boards.
The trend is clear:
✅ The more they engage with people and understand the work that’s required of them, the more opportunities begin to open up.
✅ Everyone’s chipping away at the big picture one conversation, one connection, one interview at a time.
