Work Visa from NSW verse other States

I realise many people are moving Interstate based on the new points requirements of NSW verse other states

Some Tips to consider

1. Make sure you have a migration agent who has your interest at heart and not your wallet

2. Many people I know who are working in their sector are considering moving because the total amount of points required in NSW is far higher than in other states, personally If I had a good role, I would stay put and liaise with my Agent, and government websites, I know you all do this anyway

3. There has been a priority placed on Visa Processing times, I have attached a VIDEO that seems to be a non-bias real account of the issues. The government knows there is a backlog, and they will be resolving this issue, if you consider how long it would take to process 20k Visas for example, and you simply do some basic math, the total amount of staff, the maximum amount of visas one person can process, you can see the issue, regardless of the total number required processing, 20 k, Is fictitious by the way

4. Also, If you have complied with all the VISA requirements, give them the benefit of the doubt. I know the Asian community is a little more paranoid about government officials etc., but in Australia, you are in a far safer environment, and a far more regulated Government that is accountable, and they normally do exactly what they say they are going to do…so I would trust them to deliver the visas’ just control your nerves and impulse to make rash decisions.

5. This is a by-product of COVID, many people may take the opportunity to change roles etc, I just want to remind you how hard it can be to secure work lets alone try to change careers or roles etc, I would only do this with 3 years of local experience and nothing less when you are still counting months on your resume, you are not in a strong position. REMEMBER you are vulnerable in your career for up to 5 years, so keep gaining experience

6. Keep your employer aware of your concerns, they can also help you, just be honest and upfront.

7. For all anyone in this situation & I realise there will be thousands of you, make your own decisions do not be influenced by others who are nervous or irrational. Let them make their own decisions.

8. Do not make Rash decisions, think everything through, get proper advice from someone trusted and do not panic, and have a plan
