I am seeing many graduates from 2018, and 2019 moving interstate from NSW to WA for PR issues mainly because they did not secure work in 2020 & 2021 because of Covid
Although the Government has extended the Visa duration to accommodate the time lost because of COVID you are still left with gaps of 2-3 years post-graduation
So for those Graduates, you have to make some challenging decisions
Over the years of coaching Graduates, I have always been surprised by the results of the graduates
When I have a graduate join me I usually look for certain qualities, I never list them down but I go on a gut feeling, however for this post here are some of them:
1. Quality of English, spoken & written mainly
2. Someone’s temperament
3. Work experiences
4. Are they Resilient
5. Do they know what they want to achieve?
6. General Outlook
7. Are they good listeners
8. Would I hire them?
I have seen some amazing examples of resilience and determination that shock me, to be honest in a good way
What I have come to realise Is that a determined individuals can do almost anything they want, they just need the underlying motivation and lots of Grit and determination to succeed
So really you need to have these two Qualities:
Grit and Determination
If you have these qualities you will be fine you will secure work
