Should you have an experience on your resume you were fired from?

Well in my opinion the simple answer is to be selfish. If it adds value, why not

Use this experience also to change direction, it might be a BIG RED flag you are off track in your career

Sometimes a 3 months stint in a company can feel like 3 years, you count every second you are there and it takes you just as much time to recover, what makes it worse is you feel foolish for having to take the role for money or for choosing to stay that long, lol

I know some people will not relate to this post, but for those who have experienced this, it can be career transforming, I have done it, and I know many many others who not only quit but went on to start their own business or consultancy, in fact, the last 3 months stint I did, nearly drove me crazy, it was just what I needed to push me to take a leap of faith in myself

But the lesson I believe is to make sure you make better decisions, and those decisions are often value related and personal so if this has happened to you, work out why and try to understand what the benefit you gained from the experience

All the best Mark Healy the Graduate Coach
