I have been approached by at least 50 + young Graduate engineers in the past months in all disciplines who graduated in 2019 and who are still struggling to find work in Australia
The scenario goes something like this:-
1a. I Graduated in 2019, then COVID happened, and now, of course, people still want me to have work experience and PR, but I don’t
or alternatively
1b. I went home after graduating, and I got stuck in Nepal or India, I returned to Australia when the borders opened, but I still cannot secure work
Could you help me secure work?
Firstly, all these excuses are legitimate
Firstly do not relocate to regional areas like Canberra or the Gold Coast, or SA to get a visa; this is not a good plan
You need to secure work first and then relocate
It is possible to secure work; I have posted a few graduates recently who graduated in 2018 and secured work in 6 months on the GAP program.
During the COVID period, I helped 250 graduates secure work with the GAP program, and nearly all of them did not have PR and as most graduates do they had very limited work experience if not none at all
So if this is you, firstly understand
Securing work is won in mind;
You must believe in yourself.
Then you need to be able to maintain a healthy mindset.
Then you take one step at a time:-
One day at a time,
One week at a time
One month at a time
Until you build momentum
But most importantly, seek assistance
