You may apply to WSP this week, AECOM next week and Stantec the week after. It can feel as though you are moving forward but you may simply be moving from one highly competitive advertisement to another.
Continue applying where you are genuinely suitable, but don’t depend entirely on advertised positions.
Research smaller consultants, contractors, vendors, fabricators, manufacturers and service companies.
Learn what they do.
Then begin creating genuine conversations.
Don’t wait for the market to give you permission to begin.
